New Velindre Cancer Centre – Christmas 2025 Shutdown

The new Velindre Cardiff Cancer Centre construction site will be closed for the Christmas period from Wednesday 24th December 2025 to Sunday 4th January 2026. 

Normal construction activities will resume on Monday 5th January 2026.
                                                           
Key points for the shutdown:
•    All construction work will finish by Tuesday 23rd December.
•    Site safety measures include securing tools, materials, plant, scaffolding, and temporary works.
•    Security will be maintained throughout the shutdown.
•    Emergency protocols remain in place
